  • Ode to the landscape in Hollands Kroon

With "Ode to the Landscape" we reflect on the versatility of Hollands Kroon. The landscape has been a source of inspiration for artists, among others, for centuries and we will show this in 2021. We will not only consider the beauty of the landscape, but also its vulnerability. The landscape is not only beautiful on a sunny summer day. Beauty can be found in all seasons and at all times. With Ode to the landscape we show how beautiful, fragile and diverse the landscape, nature and our culture are.

Rolling greenery, hedgerows that protect cattle and cyclists from the wind of the sea, historic farms, cozy villages, winding roads. And the sea is always close by, and so are the sea birds. Gulls, common terns, spoonbills and geese call Wieringen their home.

The Afsluitdijk is perhaps the most impressive example of Dutch Delta Design. And with more than 600,000 visitors annually, it is also one of the most popular waterworks in the Netherlands.
