On certain days, being in Breezand is like having free access to the Keukenhof. Because from mid-April to the end of May you'll feel like you're in the most beautiful flower park in the world. Each year, the colours and fragrances of the tulips, daffodils and hyacinths are an absolute delight for the senses. Moreover, when combined, these fields form the largest uninterrupted flower bulb region in the world. And this is a stone's throw away from the Waddenzee, where you can breathe in the salty sea air.
During the famous flower days, which are held in Breezand and in neighbouring village Anna Paulowna, the inhabitants decorate the village and surrounding polders with their self-made flower mosaics. In Oud Anna Paulowna museum you can learn all about the bulb culture and the reclamation of this area that gifts us with so much beauty.
