This small village does justice to its name, because it actually does lie between the fields. You can already see the spire of Martinuskerk proudly towering above the village from afar. It looks out across the land where walking and cycling is so enjoyable. The village is a stopping point where many cyclists rest en route to Schagen, Alkmaar or even Medemblik.
Tip: come in August (usually the 3rd weekend), when the village takes part in the ‘Nazomeren’ event. Visit a wealth of gardens, expositions, art exhibitions and music and theatre performances held at over 100 locations in 9 local villages.
